SKAL KULTURVÆRFTET DANNE RAMME OM DIT TVÆRÆSTETISKE PROJEKT?
Så har du nu muligheden for at bruge vores produktionsfaciliteter til dit næste projekt.
Kulturværftet er udvalgt af Statens Kunstfond til at være netværksscene for udvikling af tværæstetisk kunst. Derfor stiller vi vores koncertrum til rådighed i op til tre uger ad gangen i både 2024 og 2025 til projekter, der udspiller sig i krydsfeltet mellem performancekunst og eksperimenterende musik/lyd.
Kulturværftet er et kulturhus og spillested og har under programsporet CLICK i mere end et årti dannet ramme om festivaler, koncerter, workshops og udstillinger i det tværæstetiske krydsfelt mellem kunst, videnskab og teknologi. Vi råder over flere forskellige scener, der hver især egner sig til forskellige projekttyper og -størrelser. Vi kan tilbyde faciliteter fra gallerilignende rum til koncertscene og blackbox.
HVEM KAN SØGE?
Alle, der arbejder med projekter i et kunstnerisk krydsfelt, hvor lyd er et bærende element, kan søge om ophold på Kulturværftet.
Vi vægter dog projekter, der udmærker sig i den mere eksperimenterende del af samtidskunsten.
Hvis du er usikker på, hvorvidt dit projekt er kvalificeret, kan du med fordel tjekke retningslinjerne for Statens Kunstfonds pulje for tværæstetiske projekter for musik og scenekunst. Læs her.
Retningslinjerne for at søge her er de samme, men hos os kræver det ikke, at du har modtaget støtte der fra.
Vi stiller vores koncertsal og alternative rum samt alt det udstyr, de rummer, til rådighed. Vi har primært afsat tid i januar, juni og august i både 2024 og 2025. Du vil ydermere få adgang til alle de kompetencer Kulturværftet rummer i form af projektudvikling, kuratering og teknik.

Send en ansøgning i det format, der bedst muligt beskriver projektet, eller kom forbi og få en snak om mulighederne. Vi vil gerne vide, hvad går projektet ud på, hvilken periode der passer dig, hvem du laver projektet med, og hvad du skal bruge af udstyr og kompetencer fra os.
Der er løbende ansøgningsfrist, og alle ansøgere vil blive kaldt til en samtale omkring muligheder og forventninger.

GODT AT VIDE
Du behøver ikke åbne dit arbejde for offentligheden, med mindre der er et naturligt skridt i udviklingen af projektet.
Kulturværftet stiller ikke øvrig økonomi, transport, logi eller forplejning til rådighed. Finansiering af dette skal findes andetsteds.
Store Scene
Denne scene er udstyret med de fleste faciliteter, der kræves til større koncerter eller mindre teaterproduktioner. Lokalet er 500 kvadratmeter, og ved en traditionel opstilling tæller publikumsarealet 380 kvadratmeter, mens scenen er på 120 kvadratmeter.
Publikumsarealet kan rumme 1100 stående og 500 siddende, og salen inkluderer et balkonområde. Det er dog muligt at arbejde med fladt gulv og dermed få adgang til hele salens areal.

Lille Scene er et rum på 158 kvadratmeter godkendt til 120 stående og 90 siddende.

Backstage og kontorfaciliteter
Foruden de to scener er der backstage adgang til 3 omklædningsrum, der som udgangspunkt kan reserveres og tages i brug, hvis behovet melder sig. Det vil også være muligt at booke et produktionskontor, dog med det forbehold at disse faciliteter i perioder kan være udlånt i forbindelse med mødeaktivitet.
Krydsfeltet
Udstillingsrummet Krydsfeltet egner sig godt til udvikling af installation og lydværker og også som projektrum for længerevarende residencies.

Open call for production of works in the intersection between music and drama
Now, you have the opportunity to use The Culture Yard in Helsingør as a production facility for your next project.
The Culture Yard has been selected by the Danish Arts Foundation to be a network stage for the development of cross-aesthetic art. Therefore, we make our concert hall available for projects that unfold in the intersection between performance art and experimental music/sound for up to three weeks at a time in both 2024 and 2025.
The Culture Yard is a cultural center and venue that for over a decade, has provided a framework for festivals, concerts, workshops, and exhibitions in the cross-aesthetic intersection between art, science, and technology.
We have several different stages, each suitable for various project types and sizes, ranging from gallery-like spaces to concert halls and black boxes.
Who can apply?
Anyone working on projects in an artistic cross-field where sound is a crucial element can apply for a residency at The Culture Yard.
However, we prioritize projects that excel in the more experimental realm of contemporary art.

The application guidelines are the same, but here, it doesn’t require you to have received support from there.
We provide our concert hall and alternative spaces, along with all the equipment they contain. We have primarily allocated time in January, June, and August in both 2024 and 2025. You will also have access to all the skills that the Culture Yard offers in terms of project development, curation, and technology.

HOW TO APPLY
Submit an application in a format that best describes your project, or come by for a discussion about the possibilities. We would like to know what your project is about, which period suits you, who you are working on the project with, and what equipment and skills you need from us.
There is an ongoing application deadline, and all applicants will be called for an interview regarding opportunities and expectations.

You don’t need to make your work public unless there’s a natural step in the project’s development.
The Culture Yard does not provide additional funding, transportation, accommodation, or meals. Financing for this should be sought elsewhere.
Store Scene – Main stage
This scene is equipped with most facilities required for larger concerts or smaller theater productions. The venue is 500 square meters, and in a traditional setup, the audience area measures 380 square meters, while the stage is 120 square meters.
The audience area can accommodate 1100 standing and 500 seated, and the hall includes a balcony area. However, it is possible to work with a flat floor and thereby access the entire hall area.

The Small Stage is a space of 158 square meters approved for 120 standing and 90 seated.

Backstage and office facilities
In addition to the two stages, there is backstage access to 3 dressing rooms, which can be reserved and used as needed. It will also be possible to book a production office, although it is subject to the condition that these facilities may be lent out at times for meeting activities.
Krydsfeltet
The exhibition space Krydsfeltet is well-suited for the development of installations and sound works and also serves as a project space for longer-term residencies.
