About The Culture Yard / Kulturværftet
The Culture Yard (Kulturværftet) is a modern cultural centre and regional music venue, centrally located in Culture Harbour Kronborg, Helsingør. It presents a diverse year-round programme including concerts, talks, theatre, film, exhibitions, and business events, as well as TV and film productions and internationally oriented festivals.
Over the past 15 years, the Culture Yard has collaborated internationally on cultural productions combining art and technology. Each year, it welcomes 552,000 visitors, with 140,000 participating in its programme. In 2024, it was reappointed by the Danish Arts Foundation as a regional music venue, reinforcing its commitment to developing rhythmic music locally, regionally, and nationally. Together with Toldkammeret, which is part of the same organisation, the Culture Yard supports creative communities and talent development within contemporary art and music.
Opened in 2010 in Helsingør’s former shipyard buildings, the centre also houses a library, a shipyard museum, and the café Spisehuset. It serves as the secretariat for Culture Harbour Kronborg and the Shipyard Halls, and has since presented over 7,000 events through in-house productions, co-productions, and partnerships.

Getting here
Public transport takes you right to our doorstep. The travel time is 45min from Copenhagen Central Station and from there it’s a short 5-10 min walk along the peer.
