Crush String Collective

Crush String Collective er et eksperimenterende strygeensemble baseret i København. Deres lyd blander improvisationens fornyende og evige substans med komponeret musik. I dette krydsfelt udforsker de de mange aspekter af strygerlyd. Kollektivets syv medlemmer har i mange år været en aktiv del af Skandinaviens improvisationsscene og har fundet sammen i ønsket om at styrke strygermiljøet og inspirere publikum, musikere og komponister til, at lytte og føle på nye måder.

Medlemmerne i Crush har alle baggrund i den klassiske musik, hvor de har studeret på Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium, Norges Musikkhøgskole, Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium og Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium i København. De har samarbejdet med blandt andre Marcela Lucatelli, Lucky Lo, Jomi, Sofie Birch, Sønth samt de danske forfattere Kaspar Colling Nielsen og Fine Gråbøl.
